STEP 1:
Make a Facebook, Twitter, and Tubmlr!!! These are necessary in today’s society; its the easiest way to inform people about what you’re doing. These allow you to post less formal press releases with pictures, video, and some information. However, these three websites have different formats and should be treated as such.
Facebook is the most formal of the three; it can be used to post photo albums, create events, and post press releases. Facebook allows users to post more information than Twitter. This challenges posters to gain readers immediately and keep them reading.
Twitter is much less formal, mainly because it only allows you to post 140 characters at a time. Twitter allows you to be more short and sweet; you can only post links to photos, so the main focus is on the words. One should post more informative tweets as to gain interest.
Tumblr, in my opinion, is the funnest of them all; it allows you to post videos, pictures, and text (without character restrictions.) The most effective way to post on Tumblr is to post pictures from events, one at a time; this allows for one to scroll through their dashboard to see the complete event. You can also post full press releases; however, I would encourage more short videos and pictures.
This is the first step for any young entrepreneur trying to gain web presence. I see it as the most necessary because it gives a more personal touch and it makes your company seem like its “in-the-know.”
